Tampa, Fla. – An individual\u2019s driving record affects their auto insurance rates. Every insurance company has its own guidelines on how police tickets and driving violations increase the premium. Parking tickets and other minor infractions are not included in their review. In Florida, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles assesses points depending on the speeding or moving violation.
