The last person you think would kill another is a police officer. We expect them to protect and serve. Sometimes, that does not happen.<\/p>\n
This is a rather disturbing case that involved a police officer shooting and killing a woman in a park more than three years ago. This wrongful death case was settled just recently for $500,000. While we were not involved in it, it is a good example of the many guises in which wrongful death may occur.<\/p>\n
It was 2007 and 1:30 in the morning when a police officer shot and killed a 38-year-old woman in a park. The police records indicated that they had been called out to deal with a report of a woman who was supposedly threatening passengers on a bus with a butcher knife.<\/p>\n
