It is interesting to note that just a short two years ago, the Hispanic population was promised, just about on bended knee, that immigration reform was coming and that the DREAM Act would be passed should Obama be elected. Of course, economic recovery was also promised, and look at where the nation is now.<\/p>\n
Flash forward to this fall around about election time, or just prior to it. The Democrats were out stumping along the campaign trail and they wanted the electorate, in particular the Latinos, to stick it out with them. To stay with them for the duration. The duration of what? Speeches, commercials, radio and TV appearances carried pleas for voters to hang in there and make another commitment to the Obama administration.
