In terms of medical malpractice cases, this one likely takes the cake. Not only is it unusual, but it highlights the fact that doctors are all too human. But when they make mistakes, those mistakes can have drastic consequences.<\/p>\n
While this case happened in Italy, there is nothing to say it can\u2019t happen in the U.S. or that it hasn\u2019t already happened and no one reported it. It started out as a fairly normal delivery for the woman in labour. It ended badly, as surgeons had to remove her uterus and her newborn son was diagnosed with heart and brain damage.<\/p>\n
