Bats seem to have been getting more news coverage lately, as a result of the injuries they cause when the batter slams a ball into a line drive and it hits someone in the head. Often the results are traumatic brain injury or severe concussion.<\/p>\n
In this case that happened in California, a high school baseball player was hit in the head by a baseball, propelled by the batter who\u2019d used a metal bat. The 16-year-old boy was in a practice game when he was hit and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
