The death of Paulett Pettaway Hall in 2006 was one that could have been prevented had the doctor and anesthesiologist paid attention to the patient\u2019s medical records. \u201cUnfortunately, the defendants in this case did not examine her abdomen for the cause of her severe stomach pains and did not read her medical records. The records clearly stated that Hall was a high risk patient, and was at peril for breathing fluids into her lungs,\u201d indicated Daren Monroe, Litigation Funding Corporation, Southfield, Michigan.<\/p>\n
Hall was having exploratory surgery done to find out what was causing her severe stomach pains. In order to have the surgery, she was given anesthesia.
