A deceased woman’s family has filed a lawsuit against a Chicago long-term care facility, accusing them of failing to appropriately caring for a hip fracture until several days after the fall that caused the fracture.
\nAccording to the suit, the plaintiff alleges that the patient fell on January 29, while under the defendant\u2019s care and the defendant did not seek medical treatment until February 6. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to hire adequately trained registered nurses and failing to appropriately monitor the quality of care the decedent received. The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $50,000.<\/p>\n
