Earlier this month, two sisters were hit in a crosswalk as they approached the entrance of a Wal-Mart. Witnesses said the driver of a Ford Explorer was driving excessively fast, talking on his cellphone and looking into the store while driving along the building’s entrance. One of the women was pinned underneath the SUV. Both women were taken to the hospital, where one died the next day from injuries sustained. The driver was taken into custody and charged with felony DUI causing death and DUI causing serious bodily injury. Our hearts go out to the family in this terrible DUI accident.<\/p>\n
As the criminal case is underway, the family of these sisters should consider filing a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit against the driver.
