According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), <\/a>every year hundreds of thousands of adults over the age of 60 are abused, neglected, or financially exploited. Unfortunately, these numbers may reflect only a small portion of the real problem; so many cases of abuse and neglect go unreported each year.<\/p>\n A nursing home has an obligation to care for their residents and provide the necessary medical attention.
