GTECH (International Game Technology) has filed its\u00a0Brief of Appellee<\/a>\u00a0in the Dallas Court of Appeals in Dawn Nettles’ Fun 5’s lawsuit. \u00a0Here is a summary of GTECH’s arguments:<\/p>\n

“Under Texas law, when a government contractor is sued for complying with
\ndirections it received from an entity with governmental immunity, the contractor is
\nlikewise entitled to immunity.
\nThat is the case here. Under both the Government Code and its contracts
\nwith GTECH, the TLC alone has authority over all aspects of Texas Lottery
\ngames. The TLC determined the final specifications for its \u201cFun 5\u2019s\u201d tickets, and
\nNettles admits that all of her complaints about the \u201cFun 5\u2019s\u201d tickets arise from
\ndecisions made by the TLC, not GTECH. Nettles further admits that GTECH
\nfollowed the TLC\u2019s directions to the letter. Accordingly, GTECH has immunity.
\nNettles cannot avoid that conclusion by arguing that GTECH could be held
\nliable without causing the government to make unforeseen expenditures. That
