The Plaintiffs in the Fun 5’s lawsuit pending against GTECH (IGT) in Travis County have filed their\u00a0Plaintiff’s Amended Response to Request for Disclosures<\/a>. \u00a0In it, the Plaintiffs indicated that they may call several expert witnesses at the time of trial.<\/p>\n The first expert, Ronald Butters, Ph.D<\/span>.<\/strong>, was previously identified by the Plaintiffs months ago. Dr. Butters is former chair of both the Linguistics Program and the Department of English at Duke University. \u00a0A summary of Dr. Butters’ expected testimony was provided as follows:<\/p>\n “2) Dr. Ronald Butters will draw upon his knowledge of linguistics and the teaching of composition with particular reference to the recognition and avoidance of ambiguity in written documents to testify regarding the conclusions made by an ordinary reasonable speaker of contemporary American English when examining the language of Game 5 of the Fun 5\u2019s scratch-off ticket.
