On January 20, 2016, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (\u201cGAO\u201d) Director testified before the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest.\u00a0 The testimony addressed the challenges which the Department of Homeland Security (\u201cDHS\u201d) faces in planning for a biometric exit system to track visitors who overstay time permitted to them in the United States.\u00a0 The testimony is also available in report form.<\/p>\n
