The Pasco County Sheriff announced the results of a four day Prostitution sting operation today that resulted in 28 arrests.\u00a0 Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco stated the females were arrested after advertising on the internet.\u00a0 This usually means the women posted an ad on \u201cBackpage.com\u201d under \u201cEscort Services\u201d or \u201cMassage\u201d.\u00a0 The Lewdness\/Prostitution statute has different sections depending on whether the individual was the alleged \u201cprostitute\u201d or the alleged \u201cjohn\u201d.\u00a0 It is only the \u201cjohns\u201d, the person seeking the services of a prostitute that are assessed an additional $5,000.00 \u201ccivil penalty\u201d regardless of whether the person is \u201cadjudicated guilty\u201d or the person receives a \u201cwithhold of adjudication\u201d.\u00a0 In order to seal your record, you must receive a \u201cwithhold of adjudication\u201d.<\/p>\n
