Lindsey Combs, a 32-year-old hairdresser, was killed in her driveway when a trailer, hooked to the back of a truck hauling gravel to a city project, fell over onto her car, crushing her to death. Her 4-year-old daughter watched on from nearby as it happened. Combs was two months pregnant at the time of the accident. <\/p>\n
According to the police, Combs had been asked to move her vehicle just moments before the gravel truck toppled over onto her car. Law enforcement were at a loss to understand what happened, as the brakes had not locked, the load was not oversize or over-weight, and the truck operator had more than 25-years experience working a large rig and an impeccable safety record with no violations.<\/p>\n
