Three people were killed when their car collided with a garbage truck in Glenview, Ill., outside Chicago, on a recent Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Won Suk Rim, 57, was at the wheel of his Kia SUV, accompanied by his wife, Jung Ran Min, 52, and another woman who was not immediately identified. The SUV collided with a garbage truck and became wedged underneath. The three died of a combination of blunt force trauma and fire. The garbage truck driver was uninjured.<\/p>\n
The truck is owned by the village of Skokie, Ill. The driver has been an employee of Skokie for nearly 20 years and has an exemplary record, according to village spokeswoman Ann Tennes. In a statement posted to the village website, Skokie officials said the employee was not at fault.<\/p>\n
