Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder<\/a> affects more than 15 million Americans. Despite the fact that ADHD is recognized as genuine by the scientific and medical communities, there continues to be misunderstanding about the disorder among the general public. ADHD Awareness Month is a time for people to educate themselves about ADHD.<\/p>\nThe coalition has planned a series of events this month to increase awareness of ADHD. The nonprofit organization Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit\/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) will be conducting a celebrity social media campaign all month to raise awareness. Celebrities such as Ty Pennington, host of \u201cExtreme Makeover: Home Edition\u201d will talk about living with ADHD.<\/p>\n
