It was great to see Henry Giessel at the Houston ABOTA annual gala on Friday evening. Henry was born in Germany in 1927 and attended the University of Texas Law School were he was editor of the UT Law Review. He remains one of the most effective and skilled trial lawyers I have ever gone up against in the courtroom. He was and remains a splendid jury trial lawyer. My former law partner, David D. Williams, recently wrote a legal murder mystery entitled Gamesmanship in which the main character was modeled after Henry.
