If people do not like something in their houses, they can change it. Versatility in flooring is a real bonus.
“Living in the 21st century is exciting for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is you can do just about anything you want in your house with just about any component. Flooring choices are so varied, it’s almost overwhelming at times trying to choose what will work in your home,” said Dean Dupre, who runs Champion Tile, a Clearwater Flooring, Tampa Flooring, and tile installation company.
Some people gave old tired tiles in their houses. Some are not sure they can change them. “There are a lot of people who didn’t even think they could change their tiles to something newer, brighter and fresher; something more up-to-date. They didn’t think of changing them, because, most figure once the tiles are slapped in, they become a permanent fixture. Truth is, you can change them out anytime you want for anything you want. This is where the element of choice comes into play,” Dupre said.
For warmth, texture, versatility, elegance and a way to liven up interior rooms, consider glass, granite or marble tiles. It is not that hard to find something appealing. The only problem that may arise is the difficulty choosing something from the vast array of Tampa flooring tiles on the market.
“For instance, if the bathroom is due for updating, why not think about glass tiles on the wall with granite on the floor. Think about that for a minute and imagine how beautiful that would be. The visual appeal is what you’re striving for and with granite, you can choose just about any color that your heart desires,” Dupre said. Granite has the added attraction of lasting for a very long time before it would need to be replaced.
If the living room or family recreation area needs updating, the ideal Tampa flooring would likely be marble tiles. They’re smooth, cool, durable, classy and exceedingly elegant, plus able to withstand heavy traffic. If you have pets, this is also an ideal tile to handle the pitter patter of clawed feet.
“If it’s the kitchen you want to redo, think glass tiles for a back-splash. Use different colors and create a design or family monogram. Really, the only limit to using glass tiles is your imagination and the terrific thing about glass tiles is that they will add a unique and specifically customized ambiance to the home,” Dupre said.
Kitchen countertops take on a whole new appearance when they are done with granite tiles. They’re durable and can take just about anything thrown at them. Overall, there is no end to what can be done inside a home with the innovative use of various tiles. The one thing to always keep in mind when upgrading a home’s interior is the resale value later. Strive for the simple, yet elegant touches that will enhance a home’s beauty.
